El Festival de Cine Independiente de la Ciudad de México es una muestra internacional integrada por cuatro secciones de cortometraje, mediometraje y largometrajes de ficción y documentales. Busca ser un punto de encuentro entre el público, realizadores, productores, críticos y otros profesionales de la industria fílmica mediante la activación de espacios de exhibición alternativos en la capital del país.
Su misión es difundir propuestas contemporáneas cuya producción no esté relacionada a los grandes estudios de cine en el mundo, estimular la cultura cinematográfica y programar piezas de dificil exhibición en salas.
La segunda edición se llevará a cabo del 4 al 7 de julio del 2019.

Very happy my film "Damian" got selected into this first edition of the festival. The organizers where so warm and friendly, and it was cool to showcase my film in an indie/underground venue were I could see cooler independent short films and make connections with international filmmakers. Can't wait to have my next film done to submit again. They facilitated communication and solved my questions. A great place to support independent international filmmaking that can't be seen in conventional/mainstream/commercial movie-theaters. Feel so close now to this festival because it represented my first Mexico big-screen premiere! Thank you for everything, guys!!! Keep it up!

Mexico City Independent Film Fest seeks to become a place where public, filmmakers, producers, critics and other professionals of the film industry can exchange different views, and activate alternative exhibition venues in the country's capital.
Its mission is to disseminate contemporary proposals whose production is not related to major film studios, promote the film culture and program films with a difficult theatrical exhibition.
The second edition will take place from July 4 to 7, 2019.
